詹姆士布朗特(James blunt)的首張專輯『不安於室(Back to bedlam)』，早在2004年就已在英國發行。不做任何公開宣傳行程的他，一個人帶著一把吉他，在英國各地的小酒館，一站一站，慢慢地唱出他對生命的體認，也漸漸地打開知名度。在專輯發行將近一年後，專輯裡「美麗的妳(You are beautiful)」一曲，就像被施了魔法般，在英國的大街小巷傳唱開來，也讓詹姆士的單曲及專輯雙雙爬上英國金榜的銷售冠軍位置。
除了音樂的感染力，「美麗的妳(you are beautiful)」的音樂錄影帶更是另人無法忘懷－沒有花俏的佈景，沒有大量電腦特效的後製，詹姆士一個人站在靠海的懸崖邊，一句一句真切地唱出邂逅剎那的美麗及感動；象徵最真切、誠實地告白一般，詹姆士一件件退去身上的所有衣物，唱出男女邂逅時的感動。
隨著最後一句歌詞“我知我不可能再擁有你”，詹姆士往海裡一躍而下，可惜……I will never be with you...

James Blunt 作为维和部队的一员，曾在科索沃服役过，所以专辑中除了爱情、友情外，还有他对战争的感受。
